The Steamship Authority is currently accepting applications to fill full-time, union positions of Terminal Worker at the Nantucket terminal. Responsibilities include docking vessels, ticket handling, assisting in staging and directing traffic around terminal area; driving vehicles including tractor trailers on and off the ferry, security checks of passengers and vehicles along with other duties assigned by supervisor. Applicant must have a Massachusetts CDL Class "A" driver's license with Air Brake endorsements and a valid medical card. Applicant must interact well with members of the traveling public. Rate of pay is $29.50 per hour and increases to $31.57 per hour on April 20, 2025. After 90 days of employment, salary increases to $32.57 per hour.
